(More customer reviews)This is the nicest of the smaller LEGO boats I've seen, way above the low standard LEGO has set for itself with the rest of the Orient Expedition line. The construction is clever and solid, the colors are attractive and the figures are cute (despite their bizarre headgear--metal coolie hats?). It has a cargo hold and a great-looking sail.
This being Lego, don't look for political correctness--the Western bad guy figure (complete with curled mustache and top hat) is apparently supposed to be in charge. I just chucked him back in the box. :)
The shape isn't quite right--a fun project is to do some internet research on Chinese junks and alter the model to be a little more realistic.
