(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my classroom and in the course of a year it went through a lot of wear and tear. Eventually the wooden slats that make up the roof of the barn broke off and we weren't able to use the barn anymore. Yet know that this was with 12 roudy children playing with this on a daily basis- so I am sure that for home use it would be fine. The wooden animals are sturdy and solid and we used them for play long after the barn broke. Overal it's a great shape sorter that has alternative uses such as pretend play with the animals.
