(More customer reviews)Building the car with my 6 year old was a lot of fun, but installing the hard plastic wheels on the back as the instructions indicated, the car had no traction so it was difficult to get the flywheel motor going regardless of the surface. Once you got it going, it did spin, but very slowly (yawn). We swapped the high traction rubber front wheels to the back and while it didn't spin as well, the car went a lot faster and was a lot more fun.
Also the car didn't stay together very long before parts started coming off of it. We have since rebuilt it into a custom vehicle of our own design that's a lot more durable. I'd recommend this kit more for it's parts value than the toy car itself. It has a great flywheel motor and an excellent steering mechanism. That's the beauty of LEGOs!
