LEGO Atlantis BrickMaster Exclusive Mini Building Set #20013 Submarine Bagged Review

First thing is IGNORE the review by "grandma" she has 2 items confused. This is the ATLANTIS BRICKMASTER LEGO EXCLUSIVE set sold by mail via the Lego brickmaster club. This is NOT the ATLANTIS brickmaster BOOK that you see at Barnes and Noble for 30 dollars. That "book" is not an exclusive set and is sold everywhere. These were not sold in stores and Lego has discontinued the brickmaster club.
All though not very big this is a great set and with the demise of LEGO ATLANTIS these will become rare. Makes a great addition to the ATLANTIS sets, only wish it had a minifig like some of the last brickmaster sets Lego made.

Shark - LEGO Animal Figure Review

When I bought this shark ,and paid ALMOST $30.00 for it, I had no idea it was smaller than my pinkie finger. The seller should do a better job of NOT making objects appear bigger than they are.

LEGO Atlantis Seabed Strider 105 Pieces Review

My 9-year-old son wrote the following review: "The Seabed Strider Set came with a yellow diver and a Hammerhead Guardian. It also came with an Ancient Shield. The sub also transforms pretty well. The thing I'm most impressed by is the Hammerhead Guardian's unique head. If you take off his helmet, you can see a red head that is transparent. Overall, I rate this set a 5 out of 5 stars."

LEGO Atlantis Keychain #852774 Shark Warrior Review

LEGO Atlantis Keychain #852774 Shark Warrior

The shark warrior is so cool! The Amazon picture is terrible - the best view of the keychain is definitely to the side. What you can't see in the picture is that he has his intricate tribal markings at the top of the head and also on the front of the chest and legs. Due to the nature of his physique, his head doesn't rotate like the other Lego figures/keychains. But the head is a separate element and he has a separate grey belt at the waist. Because the arms and legs are movable, you can have fun posing him (the legs move independently, which is nice!). Even the wrists move so you can move around the hands.
The really nice thing about the Lego keychains is that they actually stay on the ring and don't fall off easily. I've had some on my key chain for over a year now with no problem.
It's a great little keychain and a fun toy to boot!

LEGO Atlantis Neptune Carrier (8075) Review

LEGO Atlantis Neptune Carrier (8075)

Admit I had my doubts when my 7 year old wanted this set recently. He thought it looked cool from the box but I wondered what it had to offer beyond the new Atlantis underwater theme. Turns out that the set is a hit on several levels...he loves it (no surprise there) but it's also nicely designed and offers more than a new theme.
As with most sets, there are a few small ships and vehicles to build first, which is nice. The main Neptune ship is the real draw. It has some terrific features...there are cool new pieces and the finished ship is also designed to allow bay doors to open and push back in a creative way that transforms the shape of the vehicle. Very cool and not something you see with every set.
I guess the best testament I can share is that my son usually takes apart a set within a week after building it and just uses the pieces for his own creations. This one has already lasted two weeks, with no sign that it's coming apart any time soon! Couple of other notes: my son has been putting together Lego sets himself for several years and didn't have any trouble with this one. There are about 450 pieces, which makes the price a little steep compared to some comparable sets, though not overly so.
