Harry Potter Wand with light and sound Review

Harry Potter Wand with light and sound

My daughter is a HP fan and really wanted this wand. It is hard to tell much from the photo so I ordered it for her. I should have read the reviews first. It is not very realistic at all and would only appeal to very young children. We didn't have any problems with the batteries as stated in other reviews and it has worked fine, she just lost interest in it almost immediately. A very boring product to say the least. The only reason to buy it would be to use with a child's HP costume. Also, you can't shut it off. If you touch it, it lights up and makes noise. The only way to stop it is to take the batteries out.

Put an enchanting spell over your friends, and if they don't oblige, whack them with this wand to get their attention. From the Harry Potter series comes this great-looking wand with jaw-dropping lights and sounds to enhance your costume. This wand is similar to the one wielded by the young Hogwart!

Harry Potter Accessories Kit Review

I ordered this for a costume for myself and then gave it to my 5 year old to play with after. The glasses look great, but the wand is a little cheesy and some of the paint rubs of really easy. It worked well for my costume though, and my son loves playing with it, but he's bent the glasses all out of shape and scratched the lenses quite a bit. This is definitely not something for little kids to play with, but it is great for a costume.

Harry Potter Illuminating Wand Review

Harry Potter Illuminating Wand

This is a cool little product to own if you're a Harry Potter fan, and it makes an excellent flashlight too.
It looks just like Harry's wand in the movies, only a little bigger, probably so they could shove the electronics inside of it. It takes two AAA batteries. The whole tip of the wand is a bulb for the light, which you can turn on and off by waving it or by tapping it. The light is very bright when turned all the way up. You can adjust the brightness and dimness of the light by pressing and holding a button (which is disguised as part of the wand and not just a button sticking out).
It also comes with a very nice display box to put it in when you're not using it. All in all, it's a cool product to own if you're a Harry Potter fan and want to pratice some spells.

Harry Potter Electronic BASILISK Attack Action Figure Playset (Mattel 2002) Review

Harry Potter Electronic BASILISK Attack Action Figure Playset (Mattel 2002)
Average Reviews:

The toy is discribed as "Harry Potter Basilisk Playset". The only problem is that there is no Harry Potter that comes with the playset! In order to fight the Basilisk you need Harry Potter with his sword! The box has a very attactive picture of Harry Potter fighting the Basilisk; but in small print it says action figure must be purchased separately. The web site does not say "action figures must be purchased separately". ... By the way, read the small print, not all the action figures shown on the box go with the Basilisk Attack Playset, nor do they tell you which ones do! Youre left to figure out that yourself. ...

Harry Potter (Gryffindor 2010) - LEGO Harry Potter Minifigure Review

Harry Potter (Gryffindor 2010) - LEGO Harry Potter Minifigure

I bought this for my (3-year old) son, who loves Harry Potter. (He's only heard the first few chapters, since the rest is too scary yet.) The hair is not attached (?!), so was very quickly lost, and now what we have is a bald piece of Lego that looks nothing like Harry. Why the manufacturer would not attach the hair permanently is beyond me. Why would anyone wish to have the hair detachable? The head turns in circles with 2 different faces, one happy(ish) and one angry/scary, which my son found a bit too scary. The "wand" does not look very wand-like, though the broom was good.
