The Swamp Speeder appears briefly (I think) in Revenge of the Sith in the 25 seconds of assault on and defense of Kasshyyk. I am personally glad that Hasbro takes the trouble to make even such obscure vehicles as vehicles for the 4" action figure line, as these greatly expand the possibilities for creative play of creative story lines (which would be the main educational value of the toy, if there is any). It's slightly smaller than I expected, but is very nicely detailed and conceived of. True, it has limited action features (two guns in front that fire missiles) which will disappoint people who just opened up the massive AT-AT with its myriad action features, but, on the other hand, the vehicle itself is an action toy.
The down side: I've never opened up a Hasbro Star Wars package and found a toy so ill-manufactured. The top and bottom frames were not well joined, with the result that there is an unsightly gap running across the front of the ship. Perhaps superglue will fix this (but, really, who wants to pay so much for a small vehicle and have to start repairing it immediately?). Both front guns came defective. One does not swivel up and down (as the other does), and the other does not hold in one of the spring-loaded missiles. This is shabby engineering, a real disappointment after some of Hasbro's recent triumphs (the new AT-AT, the new AT-ST).

ATAP was a tripedal walker that evolved from the ATPT and ATTE walkers towards the end of the Clone Wars. They were used by the 96th Regiment and some others.
