(More customer reviews)We got this as a birthday present for our 4yo son. He already had the LEGO Education Tech Machines Set 9206 set that is compatible with Duplo, and this was a good accessory toy for that contains parts also in that set.
This line of LEGO products is not easy to find, and it may not be in production at this time. I think these may have been manufactured several years ago -- I'm speculating. Ours was in perfectly new condition when delivered.
There are three devices that are detected by the main unit. These signal the main unit to produce different sounds depending on which is connected to its back. One of the sounds is like the helicopter rotor blades and engine. Another sounds like sonar transmission and echo returns, as if on an old submarine movie. There are a lot of stickers that can be used to enhance the look of the LEGO plastic parts.
The quality and play value are exceptional. If you get this, I recommend the LEGO Tech Machines set also.
