Plan on buying supplemental tracks (straight, curves, and intersection) to prevent frustration when your child realizes they can't build much. Otherwise, I strongly recommend DUPLO train sets for 3-6 year olds. The tracks are easy enough to put together, yet there is plenty of room for creativity.
