LEGO Hero Mark Surge 7169 Review

LEGO Hero Mark Surge 7169
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I went out of town last week and I always try to pick something up for my sons when I travel. I decided on toys this time. I came across this Lego Bionical Hero and figured it would be welcome. And yes it was, they love them. I got this blue one named Surge and a red one named Furno
My two youngest sons built them in no time. My 7 year old had to lend some assistance to my 5 year old son on a few of the building steps, but they were assembled pretty quickly. They played with them for the rest of the day and then they hung their Heros on their beds when they went to sleep that night. They have had these toys for 4 days so far and they have played with them every day since they got them.
ps: I love these toys too. Mainly because it is a Lego set that a 5 and 7 year old can build by themselves. So I do not have to sit on the floor for hours building Legos. Which can be fun, but seriously, hours on the floor? Not me.

LEGO Bionicle The Mask of Light: Turahk Review

LEGO Bionicle The Mask of Light: Turahk
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Lego's newest sensation of Bionicle Figures has hit store shelves. The Rahkshi were said to be created by Makuta himself, and they pose far more of a threat to our Heroes of Mata Nui. with over 15 points of articulation, the Rahkshi can attempt almost any pose. As you are building this very easy-to-build LEGO Model, you see the genious design that makes them work. You say to yourself, wow, so thats how it works. What about the final model? Its great for play. I have had no pieces break off yet, unless I did it on purpose. Contrary To popular belief, you can build more creations of your own out of Parts from this toy. The picture above does not fully illustrate the greatness of this toy, it is better seen as crouching a little. The Canister this toy comes in also serves as a pod! Just peel the sticker (back)off and you will be able to store it away when done with him. I give thanks to LEGO for this great toy, and I urge you to pick up yours today before it is too late. I basically agree about the other review. However,I have a few things to say.I would recommend this bionicle to anybody, any age.It is not really complicated, however,so I would not suggest this product if you are looking for a hard-to-build bionicle.Other than this,it is a fantastic product.

I bought this Lego Bionicle for my 8 yr old son and wasn't sure if he was going to like putting all the pieces together, but he loved it. He really had a great time putting it together and did really good w/ reading the instructions...his dad helped w/ some of it. The only downside is that there's a little handle that kept breaking off, but other then that, it has stood up pretty good.

The stealthy Gahlok-Kal rules the water, with a shield that deflects magnetic waves toward his enemies. Once kids snap together the set's 40 pieces, Gahlok is true to his comic-book dimensions. Unlike typical Lego pieces, the pieces in this set vary widely in shape and size. A graphic, almost text-free construction guide encourages kids to build the figure using only imagination, observation and spatial skills. Included is a slick Bionicle mini-CD-ROM with computer-animated bios of Gahlok and an adversary.

LEGO Tower of Toa Review

This is one of the last 2005 bionicle sets. I have it, and I think it is really fun. I had fun building it, and I have fun playing with it. It comes with 2 pieces where if you press a button, another piece shoots out. It comes with a bunch of mini figures. This would be a great addition to any Bionicle fan's collection.

LEGO Bionicle: Toa Norik Review

LEGO Bionicle: Toa Norik
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Norik was a Toa of Fire who wore platinum armor. He mistakenly let his team get overconfident after rebelling against the Brotherhood of Makuta. This left him unprepared for the ambush, forcing him on a rescue mission to save his allies. He is equipped with slowness Rhotuka; Lava Spear; and his Kanohi Pehkui, Mask of Diminishment, which lets him shrink to a minimum height of six inches while still maintaining his original level of strength. The Pehkui is carved in the shape of a Noble Kiril, but it is in honor of someone other than Turaga Dume (who also wears a Noble Kiril).

NEO Shifters Duplicon Review

NEO Shifters Duplicon
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this for my 8 year old son last year for Christmas. I expected it to be just like the Bionicles we have but it is far insuperior. The quality of the plastic is bad, the small "man" that is supposed to sit in the stomach area and roll up into a ball kept falling apart and the head of the main figure did not fit properly.
I have put enough of the Bionicles together that I can basically do it in my sleep at this point. This one figure was very hard to put together, very frustrating and totally not up to the Bionicles my son owns. I will never buy another NEO Shifter!

LEGO Bionicle Makuta (8593) Review

LEGO Bionicle Makuta (8593)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You betcha it is. the Makuta Set (8593) is a great set to own for $19.99 Here it is a bargain, Ive seen it at Walmart for 30 some dollars. But, lets get to the heart of the review.
How many pieces is he?
----------------------
I have personally built him, and he is about 199 pieces. The box is medium sized, and it has beautiful organization and art on the box, it gives you a feeling of wanting to buy it, as well see how LEGO sees of selling a product through a whole different perspective. The box is beautifully crafted. His mask has two modes, where his mask is down, as well when it is up.
What does he do?
----------------
When complete, Makuta has three Rahkshi Plates, two at his knees and one at his chest to store extra Kraata you may have. when built correctly by following the instructions, Makuta will swing his staff by twisting the knob on his back. Construction for Makuta is fairly easy, as the instructions focus on what particular area at a time, then at the end you combine all the sections and you have your finished model. The colors are very appropriate for him, as well as the menacing shape with the mask face-up. Makuta is the perfect bad guy for any character to defeat. his knees bend as well his staff is fully poseable. I also like the Staff, it portrays a double edged scythe that Ithink travels energies out of his body.
is he worth it?
----------------
yes, every penny. i have never regreted to this day buying him. He looks awesome standing there with your collection. My advice? Get him while you can. Sales have sky-rocketed after the movie, all the kids want him for that villain against their toa.

Lego Bionicle 8622 Nidhiki Review

Lego Bionicle 8622 Nidhiki
Average Reviews:

This toy is great! My Friend has it and i helped him construct it. It is complicated so some one young probobley would need help. The coolist thing about nidhiki is all the forms you can put him in. I think they sort of over did it on the takanuva stafs. His body is a little thin but the galok kal shield looks awsome on his chest. Combine him with Turaga Dume and Krekka you make Ultimate Dume. Nidhiki is my favorit in the Metru Nui series.

LEGO Bionicle Tuma Review

LEGO Bionicle Tuma
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am very impressed with this toy; mainly from an adult 'action figure collector's' (i.e. i still buy and play with toys) perspective. as an adult collector, articulation for the action figure becomes one of the important aspects of making the decision to make a purchase, and this figure is built to impress. to be frank, it's quite easy to get good articulation in a fig these days, just throw in the ball joints everywhere and you're done, which is exactly how the $12 bionicles are done; so what impressed me about this fig is not what it can accomplish with the joints but what it 'can't'.
The fig was designed to imitate the range and motion of the human muscular/skeletal system and was made possible by using double or triple ball joints at the main joints like the shoulders and hips. anything that can't be done on a average human body, can't be done on this guy either; for example, you can't stretch out your arms backward beyond a few degrees past your chest and you cant bend your thighs backward toward your back, neither can this guy. of course you can always 'dislocate' one of the ball joints to give it 360 free motion if you want. the only thing that doesn't twist and turn is the waist, which is easily forgivable.
standing at about a foot when assembled, this fig is well balanced to pose in lots of action poses thanks to the support of the joints, i was even able to make it do a Taekwondo high axe kick balanced on one foot.
lots of small parts, not for small children and kids with ADHD, on the other hand good building toy to train your kids to pay attention to details.

Lego Bionicle Toa Hordika Onewa (Brown) #8739 Review

Lego Bionicle Toa Hordika Onewa (Brown) #8739
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We have resisted buying these because they seemed so cheap...also the usual question we parents always ask ourselves..."What are they going to do with them?"
Our son received his first bionicle from a friend on his ninth birthday...it was cleverly the "bow" on a birthday present. I now regret overlooking this wonderful line of "lego's" for so long! My boys love these! They have the best time building them and an even better time playing with them.
They are priced reasonably so you can always pick-up one as a treat during trips out "shopping". If you encourage your children to "save-up" for some of their "wants", the cost of these is low enough that it doesn't take them months and months to realize their goal.
Please do not make the same mistake I made and misjudge these toys. You will be denying your child a great experience.
Although the manufacturer suggests ages 7 and up, I do not feel a child younger than 8 or 9 would be able to indendently put this toy together. My 7 year old needs some help putting these together, but he loves to try all by himself. That is the point of Lego's, to construct and play. The primary benefit, in my opinion, is the satisfaction of "doing it" yourself!
A definate A+ for our boys!
Rosemary
