After finishing the Stormstalker last night I began and finished ( in less than 30 minutes ) the Capt. Dread Eye's Phantom. This one's a bit larger than the Stormstalker and has a distinct POTC Black Pearl feel to it. The wheels on the bottom of this ship make it very easy to control, she moves swiftly with a single finger push. It does require three AA batteries to utilize the light effects, which I think could have also made a sound as is the plan with the hopefully soon-to-be-relased Capt. Blue Beard's Avenger. There are small parts that should be kept away from small hands, but the plus side of this ship is that once built it pretty much won't come apart like Lego ships do. More similar to the expensive Playmobil ships it doesn't float like them though but also doesn't have any string rigging that has to be reatached after every " battle ". Should a sail come off simply hook it back on in a second. I can't comment on the detail enough, Mega Bloks have really done a wonderful job with these sets and I can't wait to see new releases. Hopefully as was also done with their Dragons line we will see a movie shortly as well it would be a great tie in. (...)already has several intereactive games on their site for Pyrates which kids should really check out.
