Star Wars Episode 1 Electronic Naboo Royal Starship Blockade Cruiser Playset Review

Star Wars Episode 1 Electronic Naboo Royal Starship Blockade Cruiser Playset
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is an excellent playset/vehicle recreation of the Star Wars ship. A few drawbacks you should be aware of. 1)The landing gear is popped on and off every time it "flies" anywhere, rather than being stored on the ship a la The original Millenium Falcon. 2)The top won't close all the way when figures sit in the cockpit seats.3)The various battle damage panels and landing ramp tend to fall off in flight as they are not connected at all. 4)It is HUGE! There is just no weildy place to display this, Star Wars fans. It's ONE YARD LONG! 5)It's kind of thin flimsy plastic due to it's size. I thought I would break it every time I picked it up. On the other hand, the sound effects are killer, and the IR battle droid fighter action is the coolest idea Hasbro has come up with yet. You hit the ship with an Infra red blast 3 times and the panels (and little red droid) blow off and sirens wail. Way cool! Amazon's price tag is the best offer anywhere, even with shipping, you save off what you'd pay at Target or Walmart. So get crackin' and pick one up! Little Anikin is waiting on Tatooine!

Star Wars Miniatures AT-AT Imperial Walker Colossal Pack Review

Its huge, its well detailed and durable.
Im loving it, "to bad" it takes half of the smaller maps i have.
The only downside is the stat card, its the size of a 9-pocket portfolio, so I ended up "stitching a pocket" to my 9-pocket portfolio.

Star Wars Deluxe Vehicle - Y - Wing Review

Star Wars Deluxe Vehicle - Y - Wing
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Yes it is very big, but that is the point. Hasbro has had trouble in the past making scale vehicles to figures. Not in this case, I believe that it is one of its selling points. Finally Hasbro has started to make scale vehicles!
Pros:
To scale (finally)!
Cockpit seats two figures.
R2 Unit slot has a secure brace to hold it in.
Big, bright and beautiful.
Cons:
Front cannons can bend very easily.
Has a weird "opening" in the middle of the ship that in my opinion doesn't need to be there.
- In this opening, there are a set of missile launches that pop up and reveal the inside of the ship. (I imagine they are not there)
Landing gear had a tendency to collapse if not on a completely hard surface due to the weight of the ship.
Overall this is a great ship for collectors, but children may have a hard time maintaining it due to its weight and the type of plastic its made of. If you are a collector, add this ship to your fleet, you will not regret it.

LEGO Star Wars Motorized Walking AT-AT Review

LEGO Star Wars Motorized Walking AT-AT
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Lego hits a home run with this mechanized model of the AT-AT you first saw terrorizing the Rebels on Hoth in Episode V of Star Wars. This advanced model (more than 1100 pieces) features a handle on top for easy transport, but the kicker is both its size (over 12" tall and 14" long) and the mechanization. With the addition of 6-AA batteries, this model uses its articulated legs to walk smoothly and "effortlessly", with the head swiveling... just like in the movie!
The disappointment? Not too hard to build. I do have an expectation that these collector sets are more complicated and take more effort to construct.
But it's so cool when it walks!

Star Wars 3-d Deluxe Millenium Falcon Kite 91.5 Cm Review

THIS KITE DOES FLY!!! FLY IT AT THE BEACH.
I don't know why others had a hard time with it but I was able to have both the Millenium Falcon and X-Wing kites fly under constant wind (approx. 7~10 miles/hr). Both were pretty stable while in flight. I even tied them on a pole, walked away and they stayed airborne. I highly recommend flying these kites at the beach where the wind is "kite friendly" most of the time. I flew them at Newport Beach, California.

Star Wars Hailfire Droid RC Vehicle Review

Star Wars Hailfire Droid RC Vehicle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My son "gave me" this great R/C toy for my birthday. We have played with it about 20 times over the last month and it hasn't gotten old yet. It's not your typical R/C toy and seems to hold interest pretty well.
The controller has two control sticks, one for the left wheel, one for the right wheel and a button to trigger the "hailfire" of missles....awesome.
It is propelled like a tank with wheels that can move in opposite directions. The multi-directional wheels make it extremely agile, which makes it nice to get in and out of tight spaces. Remember playing with an R/C car as a kid and constantly having to pick up the car when it got jammed under the dinner table? That wont happen with the hailfire. It is a zero turning radius, which means it can spin in place if you push the control sticks in opposite directions.
The missles fire about 8 feet and, of course, don't hurt. They are just pure fun for imaginative play. I envision multiple attacks on the Lego Castle and AT-AT this Christmas morning.
This toy is unique and hours of fun. You wont be sorry!

LEGO Star Wars: AT-AT Walker Review

LEGO Star Wars: AT-AT Walker
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I received this for my 11th Birthday. I'm a Star Wars Lego fan & this is the best set I've ever made.
Pros: The inside is very interesting because you can fit soldiers and vehicles inside. The whole thing is detailed. The legs can move. Comes with 1,068 pieces. It looks like how it does in the movie. It's for ages 14+ and I could still build it.
Cons: It's fragile. If you knock it over you have to put the body back onto the legs and fix the head (not too hard to fix). It takes 3 to 4 hours to build. It's also expensive.
I highly recommend this toy for anyone who's 10 or older. I think you can build it yourself.

Star Wars AT-AT Walker Model Kit Review

Star Wars AT-AT Walker Model Kit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a good model of an AT-AT from Star Wars. The peices are good quality plastic but some don't fit very well together (the main body). The front legs have a poseable knee joint but the aft ones are stiff - so I bought two of this kit and just used two front legs on one model. I had to do some surgery (on the knee joints) to make them move more and I put a wire and a soft light puddy from Crayola in the head neck and "chest" sections of the walker, now the head moves more smoothly and easily than the "rubber band friction" of the origianl kit. I would recomend adding weight to the footpads with plaster or bb's. I also drilled out the shoulder apparatus and added a the moving shoulder joint as seen in the movies. That is very difficult however, it took several tries to get it right. But now I have a model walker with moving head, shoulder, knee and ankle joints for a full range of poses. The model from the kit is a good model, but with some creativity and patience, you can make it much, much better.

Star wars Legacy AT-ST Wal-Mart Exclusive Review

Star wars Legacy AT-ST Wal-Mart Exclusive
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the best looking AT-ST ever produced for the star wars toy figures line, but is also the most fragile.
The original Kenner toy from the Empire Strikes Back line and all its reissues were smallish and inaccurate (Power of the Force Imperial AT-ST (Scout Walker) Vehicle, Star Wars Power of The Jedi Imperial AT-ST Scout Walker and Paploo on Speeder Bike). Now, Hasbro has finally produced a new mold and a new toy that more faithfully depicts this vehicle.
PROs:
- More movie-accurate representation: weapons, details and overall proportions and shape look great.
- Larger size: bigger cockpit fits two figures; legs extend aprox. 15 inches.
- Greater poseability: Each leg has 5 parts and 5 joints wich can perform a total 7 different motions, just as the models used in the movie. The older toy's legs had just two parts and two joints.
- Two interchangeable "chin" cannons: one movie-accurate and one action-oriented that shoots two missiles.
CONs:
- FRAGILE. Two out of three toys that I got had broken hip-leg joints COMING OUT OF THE BOX. This is very bad because these are the ones that join the legs to the body.
- Several small parts can fall or detach, so it's not for smaller children.
- Very difficult to balance (stand): the concept of the AT-ST itself is very top-heavy, so this is more a problem of the vehicle design than the toy. But the ratcheting joints move only in 60° angles, which really detracts on poseability and may put additional stress on the joints.
- No "walking" action-feature as in previous toys, but compensated by poseability and range of motion.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed by the detail, proportions and range of motion of this new AT-ST, but apalled that they can come out of the box with broken joints. Definitely this is more of a display piece that will be appreciated by older collectors but hated by children.

Star Wars Galactic Hero Playset - At-At Review

Star Wars Galactic Hero Playset - At-At
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Would have given a higher rating if it weren't for the frustrated screams from my five year old when the legs fall off and he can't put them back on. (The legs have numbers on them, so when I pointed that out, it was easier for him to reassemble them himself). Also, don't expect it to really "walk" on it's own. Still, the secret compartments and trap doors are a huge hit. You may want to make sure you have a couple of other Galactic Hero figures around - my son went running to find another action figure since the guy it comes with doesn't fit so well in the driver's seat.

Measuring approximately 2a? tall, the Superhero Squad figures feature a childlike aesthetic and limited articulation. Set in scale with standard Galactic Heroes figures, the AT-AT Playset features electronic lights and sounds, and is accompanied by an AT-AT driver figure. Bearing dimensions sufficient to crush all opposition and thoroughly terrorize all enemies of the Empire, the quadrupedal AT-AT stands 22.5 meters tall. Crewed by a pilot, gunner/copilot, deck officers and a commander, the AT-AT is capable of housing forty or more troops, and as many as five Speeder Bikes and two AT-ST vehicles. Powered by an FW62 compact fusion drive system, the AT-AT is equipped with an MS-1 fire-linked heavy laser cannon, medium repeating blasters, and Durasteel footpads. During the Empirea?TMs assault on the Rebel Alliancea?TMs Echo Base on Hoth, lumbering AT-AT Walkers, pitted against the Alliancea?TMs Snowspeeders, comprised a large portion of the Imperial occupation. Later, Walkers were used to patrol the Empirea?TMs holdings, in conjunction with Death Star IIa?TMs shield generator, on the moon of Endor.
