Star Wars Episode 1 Electronic Naboo Royal Starship Blockade Cruiser Playset Review

Star Wars Episode 1 Electronic Naboo Royal Starship Blockade Cruiser Playset
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is an excellent playset/vehicle recreation of the Star Wars ship. A few drawbacks you should be aware of. 1)The landing gear is popped on and off every time it "flies" anywhere, rather than being stored on the ship a la The original Millenium Falcon. 2)The top won't close all the way when figures sit in the cockpit seats.3)The various battle damage panels and landing ramp tend to fall off in flight as they are not connected at all. 4)It is HUGE! There is just no weildy place to display this, Star Wars fans. It's ONE YARD LONG! 5)It's kind of thin flimsy plastic due to it's size. I thought I would break it every time I picked it up. On the other hand, the sound effects are killer, and the IR battle droid fighter action is the coolest idea Hasbro has come up with yet. You hit the ship with an Infra red blast 3 times and the panels (and little red droid) blow off and sirens wail. Way cool! Amazon's price tag is the best offer anywhere, even with shipping, you save off what you'd pay at Target or Walmart. So get crackin' and pick one up! Little Anikin is waiting on Tatooine!

Attack of the Clones Obi Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter Star Fighter Review

Attack of the Clones Obi Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter Star Fighter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the coolest Star Wars vehicle to be created in years. The overall appearance and solid design make it an excellent choice. I like the paint, the detail, and the "fight mode" transition. The button that accomplishes the switch to fight mode works very well...it reminds me a lot of the features on the original trilogy toys. It's cool how the front landing gear retracts and extends, but it seems cheap. The decals are a nice touch, but can be difficult to apply in certain tight spaces like the cockpit. Make sure you remove the canopy before attempting this. Small tools like tweezers expedite the decal application. The paint is pretty realistic, giving the impression that the ship has seen its share of action. This ship was larger and more robust than I expected. Overall I was impressed. I've been cautious of Hasbro products in the last few years because they were getting to be so poorly made, but this toy redeems them. I plan on getting the Slave I now and the two speeders, and I can't wait for the Republic Gunship to be released.

The Jedi starfighter is a unique, wedge-shaped craft capable of quickmaneuvering. It looks like a standard scout vehicle on the outside, but isoutfitted with hidden defense weapons in case of attack, as well as flightstabilizers. The pilot can cruise along on scouting missions with thestabilizers closed, then deploy them to increase maneuverability and make fulluse of the craft's power. This fighter ship converts from flight to fight modeand features include an opening canopy, adjustable headrest, retractable frontlanding gear, firing missile launcher, and deployable flight stabilizers. Pressthe buttons to fire missiles! Included with the ship are two removable bodypanels, two missiles, labels, and instructions. Some assembly is required.

Star Wars Clone Wars Star fighter Vehicle - Republic Fighter Tank Review

Star Wars Clone Wars Star fighter Vehicle - Republic Fighter Tank
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have two small sons who are huge Star Wars fans. This was purchased by them with their pooled allowance money. A big hit was the cardboard background included in the package so be careful when opening the box! This is played with all the time even if the vehicle itself isn't in constant play.
Please note that this Republic vehicle does not come with any figures. It does open to allow a figure to man the fighter plane and it has shooting missiles. This is a cool feature as it allows the boys to attack Jedi figures they have painstakingly set up. It has survived mid-air crashes so it's sturdy.
My boys prefer playing with the driving vehicles the most but do use planes on occasion. The least favorite are the pods so don't waste your money on them. We got it on sale so overall, it was worth the price.

For ground combat vehicles, the TX-130S Republic fighter tank has few equals. Though generally manned by a clone pilot and gunner, the vehicle's speed and maneuverability respond well to the Force-enhanced skills of a Jedi commander. The tank is armed with a turret mounted laser cannon and dual heavy cannons that can fire concussion missiles. Sleek and stylish, this futuristic spacecraft vehicle is loaded with details to help whisk you away on all of your own imaginative Star Wars adventures. Send this vehicle rolling down a "runway" for takeoff into another galaxy with its real rolling wheels. Turn the rotating turret to get enemies in sight, aim the "missiles" at your targets and fire. Open the top hatch and doors to pose a figure (figure not included) inside and let your imagination soar. Vehicle comes with projectile accessories and instructions.

Star Wars Deluxe Vehicle - Y - Wing Review

Star Wars Deluxe Vehicle - Y - Wing
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Yes it is very big, but that is the point. Hasbro has had trouble in the past making scale vehicles to figures. Not in this case, I believe that it is one of its selling points. Finally Hasbro has started to make scale vehicles!
Pros:
To scale (finally)!
Cockpit seats two figures.
R2 Unit slot has a secure brace to hold it in.
Big, bright and beautiful.
Cons:
Front cannons can bend very easily.
Has a weird "opening" in the middle of the ship that in my opinion doesn't need to be there.
- In this opening, there are a set of missile launches that pop up and reveal the inside of the ship. (I imagine they are not there)
Landing gear had a tendency to collapse if not on a completely hard surface due to the weight of the ship.
Overall this is a great ship for collectors, but children may have a hard time maintaining it due to its weight and the type of plastic its made of. If you are a collector, add this ship to your fleet, you will not regret it.

Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi's Starfighter Review

Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi's Starfighter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We purchased several Clone Wars vehicles and action figures for our 2 boys aged 6 and 8 1/2. Obi-Wan's Starfighter and the Torrent Starfighter are the sturdiest. The only issue we have really had with Obi-Wan's is the cockpit hatch popping off every time my 6 yr old tries to put a guy inside. This can be frustrating for a parent constantly being interrupted to reattach it. And in the near future the thing is just going to be so worn from the constant on and off again that it is just not gonna go back on. The spring-open wings are made of thin plastic and the button you push to open them requires quite a bit of applied force. This line of Clone Wars toys is marketed for children aged 4 yrs and up. I have to totally disagree with that!! I was really looking forward to some sturdy toys for my boys and this stuff did NOT deliver!! The Walker is CRAP and the V-Wing is definitely inappropriate for a 4 yr old (my 6 yr old is too rough for it). And just so you know the action figures are ALL flimsy. Their hands come off and are lost and they are weak, flimsy plastic... not durable.

Obi-Wans starfighter is destroyed when he and Anakin rescue Chancellor Palpatine from the Separatists. So when he is sent to Utapau to confront General Grievous, the leader of the Separatist droid army, Obi-Wan requisitions a new fighter for the mission. He leaves Coruscant aboard a Republic attack cruiser, then departs from the cruiser in the starfighter. He uses a hyperspace ring to reach Utapau, not knowing how this mission will end...but all too aware of Grievous deadly skill with a lightsaber. Pilot this awesome Starfighter to cosmic-sized thrills!

Star Wars 3.75" New Millennium Falcon Review

Star Wars 3.75 New Millennium Falcon
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm talking about the (really) BIG Corellian ships now. When the OTC Millenium Falcon came out in 2003 which was retooled from the original vintage Kenner mold I only dreamed of having a larger scale Falcon and Hasbro responded, though as impressive looking as the new larger scale Falcon is, it is only frustratingly as cool as it should have been. Like Han's beloved ship, this bucket of bolts is always falling apart.
The Pros: IT'S MASSIVELY HUGE! Probably the biggest and best scaled Star Wars vehicle ever made and it's the next best thing to owning the bank-breaking Master Replicas Studio Scale prop replica costing thousands more. The cockpit now accommodates up to 4 action figures and illuminates when one of 3 different buttons are pressed that make the "hyperdrive," "liftoff" and "flyby" sounds while the hyperdrive glows a cool blue hue. The interior playset areas have been expanded to include a medical bay to recreate Luke's rescue from Cloud City. The landing ramp deploys with the touch of a button and slowly descends while making hydraulic sounds. The holochess table illuminates when one of 3 buttons are pressed with over 20 sounds and phrases from "A New Hope" including lines like "Let the Wookie win."
The Cons: The landing gear absolutely suck! They do not stay on at all. I tried every combination I could by carefully aligning the shapes with the groves and none of them would stay on and easily fall over. As Luke would say, "What a piece of junk!" I am probably going to permanently glue them on though I am hesitant to ruin such a relatively expensive collectible. Also, the plastic material is made out of that awful soft rubbery plastic that Hasbro has been using on everything it has been producing for the last few years for child safety reasons. It feels horribly cheap for a $150 toy that should have used a hard durable plastic in the overall construction. They sure don't make 'em like they used to. I would still like to have seen the cockpit and the adjacent corridor connect via an opening hatch and there's still only 1 gunner station instead of 2 like in the film for both top and bottom gun turrets which fire two spring-loaded projectile missiles. I'd rather the cannon barrels illuminated with strobbing lights and recoiled like in the film. There's an escape pod vehicle that deploys which is completely made-up. Supposedly the original designer of the Kenner Millenium Falcon wanted to include this feature in the vintage design. Kids may like it but I don't particularly care for it at all. It's already been done before on Padme's Naboo Royal Cruiser. I'd rather they used this area for another omitted movie feature like the topside elevator lift Lando used to rescue Luke from Cloud City.
Overall this hunk of junk is enormously impressive looking, but doesn't quite feel worth $150. Perhaps around an even $100 would have felt about right on the mark so don't judge it by its size alone. There were some missed opportunities to make this the truly definitive version of the Millenium Falcon. I'd try to pick this one up on sale, or if your lucky to win it in a chance card game of Sabaac. This baby's still got a few surprises left in her sweetheart.

The new Millennium Flacon might well be the ultimate Star Wars toy. This famous spaceship can now seat 18 characters (including four in the cockpit, just like the movies), has a medical bay, auto-ramp, smuggling compartments, gunning station, Jedi training probe, Devarik table, and lots of lights and sounds. Hasbro. Ages: 6+

I got this for my son for xmas. He set it up and played with it right away. About 24 hours later the ball thingy was not used anymore. I have to admit my internal reaction when he opened it was "the guys are cool, but the cannon is kind of lame"..and sure enough it proved true. 3 months later he still plays with the figures but not the cannon. SO - if you can get the guys without the cannon for less money...go for it.

Star Wars E3 BF64 DESTROYER DROID Review

Star Wars E3 BF64 DESTROYER DROID
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
In the STAR WARS universe, the Clone Wars is a galactic conflict between the Repulic and the Separationist Forces supported by the major galactic commerce organizations. The Separationist Forces have massed massive droid armies, most of which include some these special, Desroyer Droids. The toy itself isn't the most fun Star Wars figure on the market. However, it's nice to have a variety in one's own toy army and the destroyer droids help spice up a rather dull droid group. Younger fans of the series will probably enjoy this toy more than older ones because young fans haven't been as negative about the films.

This is by far the best paint job on a republic gunship! The republic gunship has been the rarest vehicle in the prequel trilogy since 2002. It has been repainted 4 times now, and this is the most unique. It is painted to look like the gunship used in volume 2 of the clone wars, when the ARC's are going to save the jedi from general grievous. It goes along great with the hunt for grievous battle pack. You can recreate one of the best parts of the clone wars with this vehicle!

Star Wars Episode 3 Wookie Helicopter With Wookie Review

Star Wars Episode 3 Wookie Helicopter With Wookie
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a Star Wars fanatic and I just love collecting all the figures and toys and displaying them in scenes inspired from the movie.
I've got 90% of all the ships and vehicles from the "modern" star wars line (POTF2 to present), and frankly Hasbro seems to be lowering it's quality in the ships and vehicles lines lately, although the contrary has happened in the action figure lines.
I'm disappointed with this toy because:
1. One of the transparent "blades" of the vehicle was loose when I took the toy out of the box. There will be a durability issue if kids play with the toy.
2. The vehicle sees VERY limited screen time in the movie, so it's not a very "cool" vehicle for a kid to have. I bet any kid would prefer Grievous's wheel bike or any of the Jedi Starfighters.
3. There's also the issue with the almost non-articulated pilot, which is plain useless if taken out of the vehicle. This seems to be the new norm with Hasbro (see also the AT-RT, Boga & Obi-Wan, BARC speeder...)
4. The "action feature" of the moving blades is the most lame feature I've seen.
In overall, this toy is just hogging shelf space at this moment.
