LEGO BIONICLE? Visorak Vohtarak Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I basically agree about the other review. However,I have a few things to say.I would recommend this bionicle to anybody, any age.It is not really complicated, however,so I would not suggest this product if you are looking for a hard-to-build bionicle.Other than this,it is a fantastic product.

LEGO BIONICLE? Visorak Boggarak Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I had sent my husband and our 5 year old son out to buy groceries at one of the super stores the other night and they came home with this. Apparently they got lost looking for the meat department and ended up in the toy department instead, what a shocker right? Since the container clearly stated for ages 7+ I wasn't exactly thrilled that my husband agreed to buy it. There were so many little pieces that my husband had to help our son put it together. Once it was finished two things ran through my mind. First I didn't think our son would be able to fix it if it fell apart, which it will, a lot, if played with roughly. Second there is a black zip tie like thing that has to go into the back part of the spider then has to be pulled out rather quickly in order to make the spinner on it's back fly off properly and I didn't my son would be able to do this without help or would end up getting so frustrated that he would just ditch the toy. However to my amazement I was wrong, he has been able to fix it each time something has fallen off and he has been able to work the launcher without any problems. I plan to purchase more in the future since he has enjoyed this one so much. However, if you hate toys with little pieces then this isn't the toy for you. If your kids aren't good about keeping toys and their accessories together then this toy isn't for you either because once you lose the black zip tie thing you can't launch the discs. As for the age recommendation I really don't think a 7 year old could put this together his or her self, it is a bit complicated but again I could be proven wrong.

LEGO BIONICLE? Visorak Keelerak Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Visorak rock!
Building them is easy, and it is very fun to just snap their jaws and launch Rhotuka, and the look just plain AWSOME but they have some flaws.
Their main head is slightly at an angle, leaving a gaping hole in their bodies.
The head flips over often.
Their jaws sometimes get stuck.
Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against the Visorak. The rock, and I HIGHLY reccomend them. Just don't say I didn't warn you when you come upon these flaws.

LEGO BIONICLE? Visorak Oohnorak Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My son loves these toys, but he only likes to put them together once and then usually doesn't play with it again.
Good value for Lego product.

While the numbing power of its Rhotuka spinner is effective against foes, the Oohnorak's true power lies in its trickery. Using limited telepathy and a talent for mimicry, Oohnorak can duplicate the voices of trusted friends and lure an enemy into a trap. Start building! Measures 7" x 5". Includes 48 LEGO pieces.

LEGO City Advent Calendar Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I see I'm a minority here, but this is my favorite Lego advent calendar yet. True that it's not very Christmassy at all. It's city themed. The funniest was the burglar with the chainsaw. No, not Christmassy. (I'm on day 12.) But it's a great starter set for budding Lego maniacs.
Let's face it, the blocky christmas gift has been done so many times. The smiley boats and bugs weren't Christmassy, and I hated the oversized minifigs with Harry Potter wands somewhere around 2003.
How could Lego improve this? Add wintery stuff. Intersperse a Christmas tree, guy with snowshovel, street light post with decorations. I'd love to get a salvation army bucket for Santa for the front of my Lego department store.
I don't think it would happen in this PC age, but a really cool Advent Calendar would be the traditional manger scene with animals or characters for each day.

Lord of the Rings Minimates 4-Pack: Aragorn, Legolas, Saruman, Twilight Frodo Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This set of minimates has: Aragorn, Legolas, Saruman, and a hidden figure.
Legolas: The best figure in this set. He comes with a Bow, Rohan sword, and scabbard. His arrow is in his quiver, and is not removable. He also has his two whiteknives, but they aren't remobable either. Even though his hair is past shoulder length (in the front, it dosen't restrict head movement.
Aragorn: He comes with a sword, scabbard, and his elvish throwing knife. His knife is not removable, and the scabbard is attached to his back (also not removable).
Saruman: The worst figure in the set (mabye except for the hidden figure). He comes with his staff, and he cannot hold it in his hand, because of the cape hangings. His beard and hair are attached, so they restrict head movement.
Hidden Figure: The hidden figure is Twilight Frodo. He comes with Sting, and its scabbard.
I thought that the hidden figure would be Gimli, because this set has Aragorn and Legolas. However, to get Gimli, you have to get the Gimli-Legolas two pack.
Overall: If you like minimates or Lord of the Rings, buy this set, and the other one. Out of the four figures, 2 are excellent, and the other two are not-so-good. I can't wait to see what else Art Asylum has in store for this line.
