(More customer reviews)A new season is here, and that can mean only one thing - new Lego minifigures! OK, I'm sure other stuff happens in the spring, but my son and I have been crazy about these little Lego figures, so we're pretty excited about what series 4 has to offer, like this Hockey Player.
The Hockey Player has a lot of gear, including pads, a helmet with face shield, ice skates, a hockey stick, and even a puck. It comes with the basic figure stand too, but with the skates on he's not able to stand on it. Chalk up another very well done sports-themed minifigure for Lego. Before too long they're going to have to give us a stadium set to hold all these guys.

LEGO Minifigures Series 4 (One Random Pack) Review

(More customer reviews)These new minifigure series are great. Often the figures can be discerned by feeling the package. I received the Crazy Scientist in this random pack which is one of the better figures in the series so it was nice to see that I was not simply sent the lamest one that could be found. A good buy for a LEGO fan.

(More customer reviews)I've never understood why Legos are so expensive. My son wanted this for his birthday. I was shocked when it arrived b/c it is so tiny. Reminds me of what he gets in his Happy Meal, but smaller. However, my bad b/c I didn't notice in the description that it is disclosed that it is only 2 inches tall (seems smaller). I have seen it cheaper elsewhere, but this price was pretty comparable to what others are charging. Supply and demand. It was shipped very fast, but not in the best packaging. However, nothing seemed to be broken and my son is happy with it. I gave it 3 stars b/c it's a very expensive piece of very small plastic.

Lego Series 4 Soccer Player loose Series 4 Review

I guess this is supposed to be the Lego David Beckham. He's got a detailed outfit with shaggy hair, and comes with a trophy and the basic figure stand. The lack of a soccer ball seems like a major oversight though, and limits the figure's playability. Still, it's a good looking minifigure, and a nice addition to the growing lineup of sports-themed Lego minifigures.

The Lawn Gnome has short legs, a bushy beard, a hat, and comes with a fishing rod (the same one the LEGO Minifigure Collection Series 3 LOOSE Mini Figure Fisherman had), plus the basic figure stand. It's a very cute little figure, and can easily be incorporated into a Kingdoms/Castles playset if you don't want to limit his role to Lego lawn decoration.

Was another skateboarder really necessary? I know the one in series 1 is tough to find, but this seems like a redundant figure to me. Maybe that's just because this is the one we seem to get the most (anyone want to trade?). The Street Skater is basically a hipster with a skateboard. He's got a stocking cap, board and the basic figure stand. It's actually a fun little minifigure, but compared to the others in series 4 this one seems like a dud.

It goes perfectly with my LEGO Pharaoh's Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327 The set came with a golden mummy Pharaoh, but I also wanted a younger, live Pharaoh to round out the set. He doesn't come with a whole lot of accessories, just the golden staff & headpiece, but he's pretty impressive nonetheless.

This is a pretty simple figure. He has a sailor outfit, hat, and telescope, plus the basic figure stand. It's a cute enough minifigure, but there's not much to it. It seems to be a fairly common one too.

General Grievous - LEGO Star Wars Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I have been paying attention and taking notes. My 8 y.o. son knows every intricate difference between the various mini figures, as thus, do I. And the General Grievous loose figure offered here, all white, should be offered with a cape if I am not mistaken...besides the cape, it equivalent to the G. Grievous mini-fig offered with LEGO Star Wars General Grievous Chase (10186)$209.99 several years ago.
The latest of the General Grievous sets seem to be the LEGO Star Wars General Grievous Starfighter (8095)$49.99. And the G. Grievous included is fantastic, a true General Grievous mini-figure with detailed eyes, mouth slats, multifaceted and bendable feet and hands in both gray and off-white. Also included are the four light sabers with chrome handles.
Unless you are a professional collector who simply must have every Grievous ever made, don't waste your money on this overly simplistic and overpriced $20 Grievous when you can get an entire set with a superior product for $50. More importantly? I promise that your kids will notice the difference.

I swore one night I was woken up by the sound of a mini baseball game, but I shrugged it off and went back to sleep. Easy to build, great for people that collect legos.

I got this for my fiance, and he loves it. It is more of a display piece for him. I think the idea of a Lego zombie is super fun! :)
How would you rate this toy's educational value?
I guess you could say this toy would teach kids how to spot a zombie. Apparently, they carry shovels and chicken legs.
How durable is this toy?
Being Lego (and a zombie), I would say this toy is subject to losing parts with extended play.
How do you rate this toy overall?
Overall, I think this is a great toy. My fiance loves it, and I would recommend it to any zombie fan.

(More customer reviews)I am so mad about Lego's handling of the Series 1 Minifigures. I have been so excited about getting these for my son and he has been waiting to get these for months. Checking them out on the website and playing the games and printing the posters for his room. Is Lego trying to torture children by making them think they can get something and hyping it up and then not letting them even buy a full set for their household on the website!? We went to the Lego store twice (it is 30 minutes from home) to buy these because the store employee said they were in stock and when we got there none were left. My son cried both times! I went to 3 different Toys R US on 3 different occasions when they got their shipments and they sold out of them all because some fool at these stores thinks it is OK to sell them by the case and sold them all to a few people! Now when they finally become available to us on the website we can only order 5 per household!? WTF Lego! WHY doesn't lego sell them by the set or make them available in huge quantities? I spoke with a small local toy store owner today and she said Lego treats the small toy shops like garbage and sends them stuff much too late or not at all. It is these small toy stores that should get things like these minifigures first as they won't sell them by the case to adult collectors that are trying to sell them on eBay for a profit. Do not pay more than 2 bucks for these each! Amazon sellers and eBay sellers are trying to make a HUGE profit! Lego started out as a small family company and has turned into a giant corporation that seems to not care about what they were initially made for. Lego does not mean "play well" anymore it seems.

Styled after the characters in The Three Musketeers, the Musketeer has a very detailed outfit, including a hat (with feather), and comes with a saber as well as the basic figure stand. The lack of a pistol seems like a mistake. What's a Musketeer without his musket, after all? But you can order those individually, so we fixed that easily enough. This is a good looking figure, and one that can be incorporated into lots of other Lego sets. It's definitely one of the highlights of series 4.

(More customer reviews)While there is no immeadiate plan to do a mini movie with Frankie Stein, He will probably make camio appearences, and still frame appearences. Another fine product from Lego, the details, the crisp painting. But seein how He is suppose to be " The Monster " They should have made him taller. Brown or Black single flat-squares put on his feet would give him the needed hieght, to loom over your everyday Lego Citizens. I just saw a scientist minifigure that would work well with this figure.
