Playmobil Skate Park With Half Pipe Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Playmobil has great products. My son who is 7 was excited to receive this "cool" toy. It is one of his favorite Christmas gifts. His 5 year old brother also likes to play with it. They like setting up the kids with their helmets, skateboards, and other accessories and then pretend playing with them doing tricks.
As a parent, this toy was easy to put together and seems quite durable. You can easily take the billboard and lights down and pull off the ramps to fit into a small-medium size storage bin (always a plus.)

Marvel X-Men Dark Tide DVD Movie Box Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Minimates are nowhere as durable as Lego minifigures, despite their close appearance to them. AND....the DVD is only 7 minutes long! The description of the item leaves this interesting fact out. It takes longer to find the movie and get it in the player than it does to watch it. My son was very disappointed. And so was I.

Ben 10 Mini Figures - Set of 8 Vending Machine Toys Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My son loves Ben 10. I didn't even know these tiny versions existed, and I was in a buying frenzy on Amazon (didn't spend too much time per purchase, clickin' and goin'...). I came across these and figured why not, ordered two sets. They arrived in a sandwich bag taped shut in a small cardboard box. That is really not an issue as they were safe and a piecemealed collection as the seller describes. The problem is that each one of these can cost no more than a quarter out of the machines, and there are 8 of them, This is two dollars worth of toys, I bought two sets, with shipping came to 30 dollars?!? Shoot me in the face please I fell for this crap.

McFarlane Toys Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoon Action Figure John Lennon Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Beatles 1965 cartoon, from King features, yes, just like the 1968 movie "Yellow Submerine".
This actually gets 5 stars from me, but with durability being a issue (a little, not a lot) I give it 4-5 stars.
This time, just like for the Yellow Submerine figures, Apple corp, said yes, and McFarlane obliged, or, the other way around, or something like that.
It looks just like the cartoon. The guitar looks cool, just like John's electric Rick. Comes with a stand, which is actually the stage.
Not sure if I'd recommend this for kids under 10. It's a collectors item, for the most part, but, kids can play with them, just be careful, its not real durable.
Will they know anything about it without the cartoons?
(Only bootlegs exist, so far).
Which makes you wonder, are the cartoons next to be released? if so, isn't the cart before the horse here?
Its a great toy regardless, you don't see these often,
and I doubt they'll be around forever.
Most Beatles fans will want this. Get your's now. And of course buy Paul, George and Ringo as well.
It'll be just like 1965, on Saturday morning, again.

Harry Potter Mountain Troll Deluxe Action Figure Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This figure is GREAT--big and stupid looking with noticeable teeth and over-large hands. a club fits in his hand, his legs move in a knock-kneed gait. He's everything a troll should be--all that is missing is the smell!! (the breaking sink is also great--really looks broken when apart and fits back together nicely--and it lends the feeling of a bad smell!!--location being everything)

Bionicles - LEGO - Bionicles Jetrax T6 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have never had this happen with any Lego toy, but there were 2 pieces missing when we received the Bionicle; my son was in tears. I called [...], and she offered to send another one or give me my money back; no questions asked. I am still waiting for the new one, but she was very nice and I would recmmend them to anyone. I told her I would send this one back as soon as we received the new one; shipping is kind of slow, but we didn't pay extra to have it sooner, so now we've been waiting a week for the new one, but they made it right, and my son was happy--first thing he said is 'they better send me a new one,' (he paid for this with his own $[...]) and that's exactly what they offered to do even without asking.

Yoda (Clone Wars) - LEGO Star Wars Figure with Lightsaber Review

(More customer reviews)A present for my 7 year old daughter- She remarked that "yoda must be very expensive" I asked why and the answer "because he has rubbery ears" As far as I know he is the only lego minifig with soft rubber parts. Very satisfied and he comes with a lightsaber.

Star Wars: Episode 2 > Obi-Wan Kenobi (Coruscant Chase) Action Figure Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Nobody has mentioned the coolest thing about this figure! The lightsaber! Not only does the lightsaber have a metal hilt (handle) that interacts with the magnet in Obi-Wan's hand, but it has a detachable beam/blade, so you can pose him with his saber activated or 'sheathed'! It's just too darn cool. The heft of the metal, the detailed paint job... I never realized how much we were missing out with a crummy silver paint job on all of the saber handles that came before. I just can't seem to put the lightsaber down!
The other accessory is an "assassin droid" (or something) with a large hunk of metal on its side that attracts Obi-Wan's hand magnet so he can hang on for the ride seen in Attack of the Clones. The idea of being able to hang Obi-Wan Kenobi from a robot with magnets doesn't seem impressive at all, but I have just as much trouble putting the droid (with Kenobi dangling) down as I do with the lightsaber! I don't usually play with my toys anymore, but I can't help but sit holding my assassin droid with Obi-Wan hanging on for dear life while I watch TV or what have you. I guess you could say it's an action feature with a strange sort of magnetism (ooch!).
And the sculpt, well gee. I was never big on the whole "dynamic pose" thing, but Obi-Wan looks like he's about to take off running on his own, and it just looks great. I don't see much of Ewan McGregor in the head sculpt (honestly he resembles artists' renditions of Jesus Christ more than anyone else), but that doesn't detract from the toy. Obi-Wan is Obi-Wan, even if he does look like the great Christian deity.
I just can't praise this toy enough. Until you hold the thing in your hands, fool around with the metal saber, try and swing Kenobi free from the droid... you just can't understand how neat it is. Just buy it, young or old.

Star Wars 3.75 Vintage Biker Scout Figure Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The release of this cool figure in a packaging that mirrors the original vintage item is almost like a present from Hasbro to loyal fans and collectors of Star Wars Toys.
Although the price is a bit steep for a 3-3/4" figure, this item most certainly must feature on the must-buy, must-have list of every Star Wars fans and avid collectors.
Releasing this item with a protective case makes for easy shipping which ensure that the item inside the protective case remains in a mint condition. This will no doubt please most collectors. Good move, Hasbro!
I cannot vouch for the durability of the item outright because mine is likely to be card and case-bound since I am a collector. But looking at this figure, one can easily tell that it will not just break apart even if handled by a 5-year old kid. The only problem if a kid is to play with it, is that the small blaster pistol might probably get lost in a few minutes.
For collectors, you may want to note that there is a variant in this figure. Whether this is intentional or not, I am not sure. But if you look carefully at the belt of this Scout Trooper, you will notice that some of it comes in a completely white-coloured scheme, almost like the colour for the main part of the figure's body. The variant will come with a slightly yellowish-brown colour in the belt while the body of the figure remains white.

(More customer reviews)Well, these are awesome collectibles to have. They have an extreme likeliness to the characters from the TV Show. Probably the best you can get when converting 2D to 3D. Star Wars Interactive R2D2 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)After reading the description, I had fairly low hopes for it, but it was a great deal on one of the black friday deals, so I bit the bullet and purchased it. I received it quickly, and put on the pieces that were not initially attached. Those pieces seemed cheap compared to the rest of the well-built unit. I put the batteries in, and turned it on, and tried the list of voice commands. A lot of the time, R2 would beep and shake his head "No". It got very frustrating, so I turned it off and gave up.
This ended up being my fault. I read through the directions the next day (why would I do that initially) and found that I had not activated his moving mechanism - the red light on the front - so he could not move, and refused to do a lot of the commands.
Once that was figured out, R2 became a blast to play with. He understands most of the commands on the first try, with the trick being to pause between some of the words and wait for his acknowledgment with his "yes beep".
Being the geek that I am, I would highly recommend this toy for fans of star wars.
