Best-Lock 330pc War of the Planets White Hawk and Raider Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is not really as bad as people say. I do Not own this set but I do own the the one where you get these and another Hawk fighter so they are pretty much the same thing. No, it is not Lego quality but it isn't that bad either. I had no problem building mine all. When it was finished every once in a while a piece or two would fall off(the canon pieces) but its no big deal. All in all I'm glad i bought it.

Best-Lock 240pc War of the Planets Grey Falcon Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Let me just say I'm glad I purchased this set when it was on sale. This isn't the first Best-Lock set I've purchased, but it's the first set that I have been disappointed with.
First of all, it was missing pieces. Thankfully, the missing pieces weren't critical and I was able to substitute pieces from other sets, but I was extremely annoyed by this.
Second, it seems like they just threw in about 20-30 flat 1x2 useless filler pieces just so they can meet the advertised "240pc".
Finally (this is just my opinion), I didn't really like the design of the rear of the ship. It just seemed like they just slapped together a few pieces and called it a day. Maybe if they could have taken the "filler" pieces and used them to improve the design...However, I did like the adjustable landing gear and wings. In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend this set to anyone, especially if you are paying full price.

Best-Lock 240pc Concrete Mixer Truck Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I spent an evening building this truck with my 5 year old son. The instructions were a little challenging in terms of determining where to position parts. He was reluctant to figure things out, but I persisted and in the end he felt a sense of accomplishment. I hate those parents that do it for their kids. The pieces fit together, but not as well as a lego kit. Some of these blocks were hard to snap together while others remained loose. But at the price this truck is being offered at, it's still worth it as a stand alone project. He brought it to school for show and tell and a piece or two is now missing. But who cares. I am just making sure that my son doesn't mix these pieces up with his real lego, but overall I am pleased with the purchase and we still have the garbage truck to build. There is some fun in dealing with issues that crop up when everything doesn't work the way it should. You help your kid develop problem solving skills that way. In fact life is like Best-Lock not Lego.
