LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack 7914 Review

(More customer reviews)So far my Lego-loving son has stayed away from prequel-related Lego Star Wars sets, but when he saw the new Mandalorian Battle Pack it was a matter of seconds before he had surrendered his allowance. He loves Boba Fett and Jango Fett, and those minifigures aren't easy to come by outside of larger, more expensive sets. Now he has four minifigures with the distinctive Mandalorian armor.
Complexity: With just 68 pieces, this was a pretty easy set to build. My son assembled the minifigures while I put together the little speeder and the battle platform. The speeder is actually pretty neat, but you're obviously buying this set for the minifigures.
Playability: It's a bunch of little dudes that look like Boba Fett! Of course it's a fun set to play with. My son has decided that (a) they're all bad guys, and (b) their names are Jango Fett (makes sense) plus Bob, Bill and Frank Fett. Not that it matters, since they all received a sound thrashing from his Lego Luke Skywalker! Side note - the figures all have the same face under the helmet, and that face is way creepy.
My son absolutely loves these figures, and had no problem integrating them with the rest of his Lego Star Wars collection. I'm guessing the LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Battle Pack 7913 will be his next purchase.

Lego Star Wars Clone Pilot Keychain Key Chain 853039 Review

(More customer reviews)The really nice thing about the Lego keychains is that they actually stay on the ring and don't fall off easily. I've had some on my key chain for over a year now with no problem.
The Clone Pilot comes with a brightly painted helmet that has a separate head glued inside (more detail!). The head is fully posable. The painted detail on the front and back of the chest is quite exception and intricate - very impressive attention to the details with this key chain. Because the arms and legs are movable, you can have fun posing him (the legs move independently, which is nice!). Even the wrists move so you can move around the hands.
It's a great little keychain and a fun toy to boot!

Star Wras Attack of the Clones Jango Fett w/Snap On Armor Review

(More customer reviews)When dealing with this figure, I would have to say that there are many pros, but there are a few cons as well. This is not to say that the figure isn't superb (especially considering the quality of the last Star Wars releases that I have to compare them to), but it could have had a few things to give it that extra "O yeah" ness. Also, for some sick reason, a few of my friends consider some of the cons "too much," so I'll list them in case you, too, find this to be too offensive enough to warrant a non-purchase. (although Jango cries inside when you don't buy him)
Pros:
1)Looking at the naked Jango you see inside of a package makes you appreciate all of the little accessories that he comes with. For instance, this version comes with wrist cuffs that can be taken on and off, a chest piece that can be treated the same way, plus an extra weapon (which, in my mind, is a con as well.) to go on top of his two pistols.
2)The sounds the backpack produces, while very basic, are really true to the Star Wars sounds. Blaster fire and Jetpacks have that distinct sound, and are easily recognized when reproduced properly. Sadly, there are but two.
Cons:
1) The pistols are homeless, unlike those of the "Escape" model (which you need to buy).It actually has holster on each leg for those minute weapons, giving the figure than much more. For the extra money to get the sound effects, I would have also liked to had my weapons fit my figure like the other one does.
2) The "big shooting weapon" is always a defect in my book. I really don't need one, and would prefer something else, especially when "shooting" means me pushing the projectile out. Plunging isn't something I like to do in my freetime, and this action always reminds me of it for some reason.
3) The huge jetpack is so bulky that it makes Jango tip over quite often. You can see that it isn't the right size in the pictures, and can tell this in person ever better. Also, the noises are a bit primitive and could have numbered in the thousands! (or at least four), but o well.
That said, I still think the figure is still a wonderful buy. The accessories alone get my vote, and I would have given it five stars if Jango's backpack hadn't thrown him into my floor three times already this morning.
Don't listen to my friends! Jango's therapist says he needs you so much.

(More customer reviews)Although they have a relatively high price tag, These little magnet sets are a great way to build a Lego Star Wars minifigure collection (the figures detach from the magnetic bases) without breaking the bank on expensive larger sets.
This Return of the Jedi-themed set includes Boba Fett, Princess Leia (in Jabba's prisoner outfit), and an Imperial Guard (or Emperor's Royal Guard). All three figures look pretty cool, and all but Leia have accessories. Boba Fett has his rocket pack and a blaster pistol, and the Imperial Guard has a cape and "force pike" (a basic Lego spear). My son is a huge fan of Boba Fett, so we essentially bought this set just for that figure (who my son has teaching the minifigures from the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack 7914 how to be bounty hunters). I was always a fan of the Imperial Guard figure as a kid, so I'm partial to that minifigure. It would have been cool to have a set with the Emperor and a pair of these guys.
These figures are all available in larger sets, but if you're on a budget this magnet set is definitely the way to go. I'd recommend checking with Lego directly though, as they're going to have the best price.

Star Wars Boba Fett Electronic Helmet Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a huge fan of Boba Fett. I was glad to finally see a well done helmet at a good price. The first thing you will notice is this is not movie accurate. The visor is enlarged so that you can see out of it, I guess. Overall the helmet seems pretty big, I can't imagine how funny this would look on a child. The helmet comes split in half and snaps together. I'm not sure if mine is missing a piece but one the bottom edges does not snap, looks like something is missing there. There are two small red lights on the antenna top and bottom. The speaker is on the left, and there are two control buttons on the antenna side. Audio seems plenty loud for me, but I didn't buy it for that feature. Batteries are included. The paint job is well done. Inside the mask there is an adjustable head strap and "goggles" that fit around your nose and eyes. The helmet is vented on the back, side and cheek lines. I'm very happy with this helmet since I'm a budget collector.

It is a nice toy for collectors, as the full size action figures fit inside. It includes a Han Solo in carbonite. Opening cargo hull door, sliding ramp, blaster cannons rotate, has a seat for the pilot, a rear handle for kids to fly it with, and the wings and guns both turn. Replicates the movie very nicely.

(More customer reviews)WHAT IS THE HOTH WAMPA? FROM BRICIPEDIA 2011: Wampa ice creatures were carnivorous predatory reptomammals indigenous to the Outer Rim Territories ice planet Hoth. The bipedal beasts stood over two meters in height with shaggy white fur constantly stained by the blood and guts of slaughtered prey. Wampas were armed with jagged yellow teeth and deadly claws. Primarily solitary hunters, Wampas occasionally hunted in packs, preferring to ambush their prey from the camouflage of Hoth's snow banks and blizzards. Stunned victims were carried back to the creatures' lairs, typically large ice caves, where the wampas ate at their leisure. The planet's omnivorous tauntauns formed the bulk of the wampas' prey, although they would attack anything they encountered. I wish it had came in the Lego box, though. The item isn't used for a key ring as much as it is used for a decorative piece in my boyfriend's study so I really don't know how durable the product is. I don't think young children would be aware of the delicate pieces, but it is a toy! LOL
