Most room for creative play, and he was able to assemble it himself after we showed him the first time. The smokestacks and mirrors come off kind of easily, but overall it's lots of fun, and not totally limiting the way the other Mack's are...

The movie characters from the Disney/Pixar hit CARS come to life with these Mini Mega Blok figures that you can build and rebuild. Which means you can use the cars to recreate your favorite scenes from the movie -- or imagine up completely new adventures for Mack and Lightning to embark on. Mack is the big hauler and loyal Lightning friend that doubles as storage unit for the smaller car. When McQueen wants to really let the power out, open Mack's back door to provide a ramp for Lightning so he can drive down and speed away!

Mega Bloks Cars Piston Cup Race Set Review

(More customer reviews)My son is a huge Disney Cars fan and wanted this for his 3rd Birthday so we got it for him. At 3 years old he cannot put the pieces together and obviously can't read the directions, but with help from mom we assembled it. It kept his attention for just a few minutes. There isn't much to it and the pieces are separate platforms and such, not connected. Maybe with additional Cars sets it would be more fun...or maybe better for 4-6 year olds. Not much substance for $35.

Mega Bloks Piston Cup (McQueen) Review

(More customer reviews)You get the car, the bridge, and some other bits and pieces for an insanely low price. The car is fun to play with and the bridge isn't just a prop - you can use it as part of an imaginary race-track or use the pieces to build a plane. Plus the car is from Cars, so the kids will recognize it.
Durability isn't quite up to Lego standards, but these blocks seem to interact with Duplo pretty well. Also, I think any building toy is pretty educational, but this isn't an abacus.
All in all, great value and fun for (just under) 3 year olds to 6 years and above. Once a child has graduated to regular Lego blocks, I would think twice about buying this set, though.

He also loves building blocks and so this helps keep him stimulated with always taking it apart and putting it back together. Of course he's 2 so sometimes he gets frustrated when he can't get the part together just right but it'll come as his fine skills grow. Would definitely recommend this toy to any child who loves Cars and building things.

(More customer reviews)This is the nicest set out of the four sets. Flo's lights up like the other ones, but the fact that they can "fuel up" is so neat. Also, there is a secret room at the top, too cool. However, this toy is so hard to find. I had to search for a long time to come across one finally on Amazon. There is just not enough of these to meet the demand. Flo's V-8 Cafe is the most popular set and just look at it, it's great. It is so popular and hard to find right now (end of June beginning of July 2006) and people are paying around $50 for this set on e-bay, before they were going for around $100. K-B Toys had it for pre-sale, but it sold out within a day. PRE-SALE!!!! I can't believe it. I let it pass by, but then a month later Amazon had it and I bought it and they offered Free Super Saver Shipping on this item. This is such a cool toy. I am so excited to have gotten one for my son.
The set lights up and takes batteries. It connects to the other three sets so that you can make Radiator Springs. I would reccommned it for 4 year olds and up. Small details could get broken by a younger child. Plus, this may very well be a collectors item later on. You never know.
Highly reccommended for children and adult collectors alike.

We had a wonderful time building and creating adventures for McQueen and Mater - so much so that his 4-year old brother, Cristian, couldn't resist joining our fun. In fact we combined this Lego set with their other set and brought Mac into the picture to create even more scenes. Highly recommended!

CARS Radiator Springs Playmat Review

(More customer reviews)It was a lot smaller than we thought it would be, and a lot flimsier than we expected. We bought a HUGE (4'x 6') Radiator Springs rug for $20 that is MUCH more rugged and durable, even the colors are brighter. This one was $18 plus shipping, and is small and dingy-looking. If something gets spilled on it and we wash it once, I'm sure it'll fade even more. Plus the fabric is a velour-type, which everything sticks to. I usually only review things we love, but had to take the time to steer others away from this and towards just about any other Radiator Springs merchandise you can find. We have it all and this one was our first disappointment. Sorry!

(More customer reviews)We received this for Christmas, and while another reviewer is correct, there are few pieces, for a 2 year old that is better, and he absolutely adores this set and is constantly putting his cars in it, animal, you name it. I think the price is too high for this, but it has entertained him for hours! I would recommend buying it on sale!

LEGO DUPLO Cars Flo's Café 5815 Review

(More customer reviews)This is a nice set, and my 2.5 year old son loves the vehicles and the gas pump and hose. My only gripe is that it contains mainly the standard shape duplo blocks aside from the cars and pump. If you already have a lot of regular duplos around, this set isn't very exciting. For the money, I'd recommend the Toy Story 3 Space Crane set instead, unless you want more of the plain pieces.
