The movie characters from the Disney/Pixar hit CARS come to life with these Mini Mega Blok figures that you can build and rebuild. LEGO City Small Car (3177) Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this mini set as part of a reward system for a four year old daughter who, as of late, has had an interest in die cast cars. This one really transferred her interest rather quickly. Its really fun for a child that young to see that a bag of small parts and a little instruction book can turn into a cool car that can be played with. She seemed surprised that the wheels that work, and the doors open too!
When we were done building it, (a joint effort, since this was the first Lego building project for her) she actually spent a great deal of time studying the instructions over and over. She seemed totally amazed to have played a part in building a real toy.
Up to this point the only Legos we've had are our truckload of Duplos and a few of the standard 4+ brick sets.
The little car is pretty neat. It rolls about smoothly, is attractive, and can of course, accomodate its little passenger whose legs and hair are removable/interchangeable. The car actually stays together, despite having been in a few 'wrecks' with other toys. That surprised me, I sort of expected it to crumble apart when subjected to rough play.
All in all, a great little Lego addition for a few bucks. And it's not made in China!

(More customer reviews)This set comes with two wooden cars. One wooden car came apart on Christmas day. The axel came out and the wheels fell off. No way to fix the car. One wooden car kept flipping sideways and would not make it down the ramp. Matchbox sized cars will also fit, but Thomas trains will not. Wooden cars would sometimes fly off the back sides of the ramps. Kids liked the idea, but we returned our set. Wood ramps were sturdy, but it was VERY difficult to line up the ramps for assembly. As soon as you get one peg in place, the other pegs popped out. Took about 30 minutes to finally put it together. I was dissapointed, as I had looked at many other ramp racers and opted for Melissa &Doug. This product was not reviewed by anyone on Amazon prior to Xmas of 2006, so I hope this review helps other parents.

(More customer reviews)I love ZOOB toys for so many reasons. My sons play quietly for long periods of time, happily being creative and building the most amazing things. We give sets as gifts as often as possible and I am always surprised at how many people are not familiar with the line. The pieces (there are 5 different shapes which are different colors so that one can keep them straight) connect 20 diiferent ways and give you endless possibilities for building fun. It also allows you to make moveable creations (unlike many other building sets). The pieces are very durable. My 180 lb husband has stepped on a few and they survived without a crack. Last Year Santa brought a large ZOOB set and during the year my son remarked on how he wished there were wheels so he could design vehicles. Then we found this set- perfect! It does not disappoint:)

(More customer reviews)This is a great toy! I actually found it at a discount store and bought it for my 2 1/2 yr old who loves Cars. These blocks are compatible with legos which is a nice plus and offers more options and play time than just a car. My son loves to take the 3 cars apart and mix and match the pieces to make "new" cars. They are very durable - already have fallen off the dinner table onto our tile floor several times and don't show any wear and tear. Wish there was another set with the other hot rods because my son's first question was "Where Snotrod and Boost?" It also comes with pieces to build a ramp/driveway and the back of the box shows 3 building options to get you started. I highly recommend this set for any child who loves Cars and to encourage imaginative play. It has held my son's attention longer than most new toys since you can do more than just drive the car - good for fine motor skills and easy enough for a 2 yr old to put together.

Disney Pixar's Cars The Movie 3 Game Assortment Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this at Toys R Us (supposidly and exclusive). Each box is red plastic with sparkles. They are pretty durable but breakable. Much better than a plain cardboard box though. The dominos are better quality than I imagined and heavyer too. My worry about these is that the painted characters may wear/ peel/ rub off. The instructions were very bad too. They do not say how many each player gets to start or if they are supposed to be face up when you have them 'in hand'. The cards box contains war, crazy 8's, go fish, & rummy. Again these directions have holes in instructions. The numbers are pretty small on each card, the 6 and 9 have no underlines to tell the differece (so if the card is upside down and in a hand with others may get confused), and the 6, 9, and 8 all look very similar. The numbers resemble that of a traditional digital clock except they are connected but very block like. The 6 and 9 barely have a gap where the end comes back around and with the numbers so small you have to look closely. Each number has it's own picture on it but the characters are duplicated just in different 'poses'. It would be better if each had a different character and none were repeated except on the same number ,at least in go fish, so that the younger children could say a character instead of a number. On the pickup sticks there are 4 'helper' sticks with a character sticker on the tops. One of mine was defective and the character sticker was upside down. Otherwise I have not seen any other problems. The boxes could be about half the size though for what is inside. I paid around $10 for the set of 3 boxes which I think is a good deal even for the issues I had with them. These were just simple problems that could have been easily fixed if this product had been looked over 1 more time in the editing process.

LEGO Racers: Dirt Crusher R/C Vehicle Review

(More customer reviews)Although it might be a little bit hard to steer it goes so fast compared to my other rc cars that I can't tell if they're just slow or running out of batteries. Building the dirt crusher was fun, but for this 10-year old was a little bit too easy. It took me about 20 minutes to build it. I really love the suspension. I really like how it is all-terrain and its ability to wheely. I saved up my allowance for this and it is well worth it!!!

I built the 'Model Team' sets as a kid, which are the sets geared toward realism more than functionality; but Lego doesn't really make the line anymore. However, this would be a Model Team set if there were such a thing. For a Lego set, this Enzo looks as much like the real thing as it can and it holds together really well. I actually bought 2 so I could build both models. This is an excellent addition to the Lego Ferrari collection.

Mega Bloks Piston Cup (McQueen) Review

(More customer reviews)You get the car, the bridge, and some other bits and pieces for an insanely low price. The car is fun to play with and the bridge isn't just a prop - you can use it as part of an imaginary race-track or use the pieces to build a plane. Plus the car is from Cars, so the kids will recognize it.
Durability isn't quite up to Lego standards, but these blocks seem to interact with Duplo pretty well. Also, I think any building toy is pretty educational, but this isn't an abacus.
All in all, great value and fun for (just under) 3 year olds to 6 years and above. Once a child has graduated to regular Lego blocks, I would think twice about buying this set, though.
