(More customer reviews)This is an excellent playset/vehicle recreation of the Star Wars ship. A few drawbacks you should be aware of. 1)The landing gear is popped on and off every time it "flies" anywhere, rather than being stored on the ship a la The original Millenium Falcon. 2)The top won't close all the way when figures sit in the cockpit seats.3)The various battle damage panels and landing ramp tend to fall off in flight as they are not connected at all. 4)It is HUGE! There is just no weildy place to display this, Star Wars fans. It's ONE YARD LONG! 5)It's kind of thin flimsy plastic due to it's size. I thought I would break it every time I picked it up. On the other hand, the sound effects are killer, and the IR battle droid fighter action is the coolest idea Hasbro has come up with yet. You hit the ship with an Infra red blast 3 times and the panels (and little red droid) blow off and sirens wail. Way cool! Amazon's price tag is the best offer anywhere, even with shipping, you save off what you'd pay at Target or Walmart. So get crackin' and pick one up! Little Anikin is waiting on Tatooine!

(More customer reviews)THIS KITE DOES FLY!!! FLY IT AT THE BEACH.
I don't know why others had a hard time with it but I was able to have both the Millenium Falcon and X-Wing kites fly under constant wind (approx. 7~10 miles/hr). Both were pretty stable while in flight. I even tied them on a pole, walked away and they stayed airborne. I highly recommend flying these kites at the beach where the wind is "kite friendly" most of the time. I flew them at Newport Beach, California.

Lego Star Wars Episode III Millennium Falcon Review

(More customer reviews)I just recently bought this for my 5 year old Star wars fanatic. Being an experienced Lego builder, I guided him through the building process, which was pretty sophisticated for this level of Lego set. All the other reviews here are correct, this thing is awesome! Plenty of interior detail, including: many hand tools, Han, Leia, C3PO, Snowtrooper, and Chewie (NO R2D2, though!!). The ramp and escape pod are nice, as is the hyper-drive area and gun turret seat and game table areas.
I can tell you how cool it is all day but here are my gripes: First, the architecture and weight of the falcon lends to alot of stress to the area just below the main gun turret, which supports the front and the rear of the ship through two hidden beams in the floor (the roof, escape pod bay and ramp area give no structural support to the falcon). If you plan to display your falcon, no prob, but if you plan to fly it, this can pose a problem. If you have spare Legos from other kits, you will want to consider making a hidden chassis built off the two long beams under the floor beneath the gun turret extending forward and aft to strengthen the falcon (there is room in the floor because of the sandwich style nature of the floor so that no one can see your modification BUT you WILL need to remove some of the black bricks to do this). As a matter of fact, while doing that, I also made the fenced floor piece that comes with the set removeable for the hidden compartment like in the movie (I can fit 3 figures under the floor panel now!!!). The modifications are best done once you assemble the kit first according to instructions then going back to mod. My second gripe is that the hallway that leads to the cockpit from the rest of the ship doesn't exist. Bummer. And the third gripe is that this design forgot to include the lower gun turret/laser cannon underneath the ship, though this is an easy fix with spare parts from other sets you may own.
Even with these shortcomings, the set was WELL worth buying. IT IS EASILY THE BEST STAR WARS LEGO SET RELEASED. My son absolutely loves playing it and I enjoy making mods to the 'ole Falcon, kinda like Han Solo himself did. Hope this review helps you in your quest for your Star Wars Lego collection!

Star Wars 3.75" New Millennium Falcon Review

(More customer reviews)I'm talking about the (really) BIG Corellian ships now. When the OTC Millenium Falcon came out in 2003 which was retooled from the original vintage Kenner mold I only dreamed of having a larger scale Falcon and Hasbro responded, though as impressive looking as the new larger scale Falcon is, it is only frustratingly as cool as it should have been. Like Han's beloved ship, this bucket of bolts is always falling apart.
The Pros: IT'S MASSIVELY HUGE! Probably the biggest and best scaled Star Wars vehicle ever made and it's the next best thing to owning the bank-breaking Master Replicas Studio Scale prop replica costing thousands more. The cockpit now accommodates up to 4 action figures and illuminates when one of 3 different buttons are pressed that make the "hyperdrive," "liftoff" and "flyby" sounds while the hyperdrive glows a cool blue hue. The interior playset areas have been expanded to include a medical bay to recreate Luke's rescue from Cloud City. The landing ramp deploys with the touch of a button and slowly descends while making hydraulic sounds. The holochess table illuminates when one of 3 buttons are pressed with over 20 sounds and phrases from "A New Hope" including lines like "Let the Wookie win."
The Cons: The landing gear absolutely suck! They do not stay on at all. I tried every combination I could by carefully aligning the shapes with the groves and none of them would stay on and easily fall over. As Luke would say, "What a piece of junk!" I am probably going to permanently glue them on though I am hesitant to ruin such a relatively expensive collectible. Also, the plastic material is made out of that awful soft rubbery plastic that Hasbro has been using on everything it has been producing for the last few years for child safety reasons. It feels horribly cheap for a $150 toy that should have used a hard durable plastic in the overall construction. They sure don't make 'em like they used to. I would still like to have seen the cockpit and the adjacent corridor connect via an opening hatch and there's still only 1 gunner station instead of 2 like in the film for both top and bottom gun turrets which fire two spring-loaded projectile missiles. I'd rather the cannon barrels illuminated with strobbing lights and recoiled like in the film. There's an escape pod vehicle that deploys which is completely made-up. Supposedly the original designer of the Kenner Millenium Falcon wanted to include this feature in the vintage design. Kids may like it but I don't particularly care for it at all. It's already been done before on Padme's Naboo Royal Cruiser. I'd rather they used this area for another omitted movie feature like the topside elevator lift Lando used to rescue Luke from Cloud City.
Overall this hunk of junk is enormously impressive looking, but doesn't quite feel worth $150. Perhaps around an even $100 would have felt about right on the mark so don't judge it by its size alone. There were some missed opportunities to make this the truly definitive version of the Millenium Falcon. I'd try to pick this one up on sale, or if your lucky to win it in a chance card game of Sabaac. This baby's still got a few surprises left in her sweetheart.

Revell Star Wars -Millennium Falcon Review

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a "reasonably priced" copy of the Millennium Falcon for my 4 year old - who has discovered Star Wars in a big way this year. At first, reading the one negative review of this model, I was of course concerned about the quality of the model. I did a quick YouTube search and actually found a kid who had constructed this exact kit and and was very pleased to show off ALL it's attributes. [...]
Contrary to the one poor review, this is a model kit - it is a SnapTite style Revell Star Wars -Millennium Falcon model - meaning there is never any glue required. I took a [small, calculated risk] in buying this kit and was very satisfied.
The price-performance of this model is definitely worth the money and was fun putting it together. I have been assembling model kits for over 35 years - I can honestly say this is an easy build with great looking results. A perfect introduction for young future-modelers - especially with parental guidance for the really young ones like my son.
From the time I opened the box until the moment my son had the model flying through [kitchen] space was exactly one hour - and that was with 4 year old hands "helping." Fit-n-Finish: the painted features of the model were very well done and authentic - better than I might have been able to do - certainly much more cost effectively and in much less time. The fit is a little rough in a few places, but nothing grossly out of place. In fact, several "cool" features my son appreciated were the working ramp, gun turrets and dish.
I did put a few drops of glue on the parts *after* full assembly - knowing a 4 year old can be a little rough on models - but the SnapTite design is quite rugged out of the box. For a model requiring no glue - this one is not coming apart easily. The only tools I used were a pair of kitchen scissors to clip the parts from the frames and a nail file to smooth off the burs. I usually make one clip to a few parts that I need and then let my son bend each part off the frame and hand it to me. It's great for him to feel a part of the construction process.
This is the latest, and largest, of our current collection of Revell Star Wars SnapTite models - prior to the Falcon, we have built the X-Wing, Y-Wing, Tie Fighter and Jedi Fighter. All have had exceptional paint jobs and all took less than an hour to construct. I would highly recommend all of these items in the series.

Star Wars Hailfire Droid RC Vehicle Review

(More customer reviews)My son "gave me" this great R/C toy for my birthday. We have played with it about 20 times over the last month and it hasn't gotten old yet. It's not your typical R/C toy and seems to hold interest pretty well.
The controller has two control sticks, one for the left wheel, one for the right wheel and a button to trigger the "hailfire" of missles....awesome.
It is propelled like a tank with wheels that can move in opposite directions. The multi-directional wheels make it extremely agile, which makes it nice to get in and out of tight spaces. Remember playing with an R/C car as a kid and constantly having to pick up the car when it got jammed under the dinner table? That wont happen with the hailfire. It is a zero turning radius, which means it can spin in place if you push the control sticks in opposite directions.
The missles fire about 8 feet and, of course,don't hurt. They are just pure fun for imaginative play. I envision multiple attacks on the Lego Castle and AT-AT this Christmas morning.
This toy is unique and hours of fun. You wont be sorry!

(More customer reviews):) I love the Millennium Falcon! I wanted to have a Star Wars theme for my car so I got it to hang from the rear view mirror. It's about 3 inches long from bow to stern and is more of a key chain than a bag charm. The paint might rub off with regular handling and there is nothing to put together or mess with as far a Lego fun goes. But it's still awesome and you can take the little Lego tag off fairly easily if it bothers you. Cool do-hickey!

(More customer reviews)Star Wars mini vehicles allow users to create vast scenes from the movies without spending thousands of dollars. Each new model has at least one special piece so that you won't be able to duplicate it exactly by using other pieces in your collection.
The Millennium Falcon is pretty true to the original. The finished model is the size of the palm of a large hand. A good size for playing with.
The directions are standard Lego format and are easy to follow. The final construction is solid and believable. The set includes extra parts for making part of a Y-Wing (the rest of the parts are available with the AT-At, Republic Gunship, and the Multi-Troop Transport).
All in all, very nicely done.

(More customer reviews)I don't understand the other reviewers. They 'love' this set...but then only give it four stars? Very strange. Make no mistake, it is AWESOME. The box is huge, it has dozens of bags inside with thousands of parts and the bound instruction book itself weighs several pounds. It will take an average person 20 to 30 hours to put together. Probably much more if you are helping a child. Every section is painstakingly accurate and detailed. Once finished it is far too big and heavy to 'play' with, you simply have to admire it from many angles. Even from below it is ridiculously detailed. It is the centerpiece of my guest-room (after spending too long in the living-room, according to my wife) and every time I look at it I want to tear it down and start again, it was so much fun for me...maybe next time I have a week to kill? FIVE STARS!!!!!

Star Wars E3 OTC MILLENNIUM FALCON Review

(More customer reviews)For the first time since 1995, the Millenium Falcon gets re-released with a few "Special" modifications making this the best version of the Falcon released to date. The Hyperdrive now illuminates with a cool blue glow when activated by 2 of the 4 authentic sound effects buttons that simulate the "Jump into Hyperspace" and the casual "Flyby." There is also the engine "Jump-Start" sounds and the forward mounted cannons strobe red and "fire" when activated.The forward-mounted missile projectile shoots and makes the sound effect from the film to re-create the assault on the Death Star's Main Reactor. There are even working headlights on the front of the ship just like in the movie. The cockpit has been redesigned to accomodate two of the post-Power of the Force scale action figures, but don't expect to fit both of the super-sized "steroids" Chewie and Han figures from the '95 Power of the Force line. The landing gear now "snap" firmly into place and will not easily push up into the hull so the Falcon will no longer "sag" when it is in landing mode. The overall quality of the plastic is much more durable and the paint and weathering are very authentic and an improvement over the stark-white vintage and the over-done Power of the Force versions. The interior is pretty much the same. There is a hidden floor compartment to hide some action figures and there is a rotating chair for the swivel cannons. The landing ramp lowers and there is the old chess board table. Now, take my advice, if you want to use the holo-chess table that was included with Dejarik Chewbacca, DO NOT apply the decal for the chess board over the table first. The table has been fastened by a small phillips head screw. Unscrew this first before applying the decal, this way you can place Dejarik Chewbacca over the stem and easily switch between tables as you prefer. Overall, the modifications to the old mold are very impressive but there is still room for considerable improvements. The cardboard backdrop inside the playset could have been removed and an access corridor and doorway could have been implemented to connect the cockpit to the aft section like in the films. The rotating cannon could have been retooled to accomodate one of the previously released "Gunner Stations" figures and the flashing lights could have been incorporated into the cannon barrels instead of on the front of the hull. I would like to have seen an Emergency Access Hatch and elevator to recreate Luke's rescue from Cloud City. Perhaps it would have been better to just create an entirely new scale Falcon from scratch ala the FX X-Wing to accomodate all of these possible features but for what they have done to the old mold, she may not look like much, but she still has it where it counts!
