(More customer reviews)This truck unit comes with several pieces of equipment that should keep a fire-fighting kid happy. It includes a hose, a removable saw and a trailer that can be detached. It reminds me more of a firefighting unit you might see in a rural area, rather than a city. If your child is small, he or she may have trouble attaching some of the small pieces to the trailer, or placing them in the hands of the fireman that comes with this. Overall, it's a great little set.
But beware this unit will probably make your kid want more fire units. The new fire station out this year from Lego is a dandy, and this little unit will only add to the fun.

(More customer reviews)I bought this set because I wanted the firefighter and truck for my Lego collection. This set comes with one firefighter figure that has a very detailed printed head and torso. The firefighter also has an awesome silver fire hat. The pickup-truck and trailer are simple, but very entertaining builds and when finished the pickup-truck looks very tough and the trailer has a lot of equipment. The pickup-truck has a single seat cab with a steering wheel. The truck is outfitted with two equipment holders (one on each side of the truck) for a walkie-talkie and a flashlight. The back of the truck also has an opening and closing tailgate. The trailer is equipped with two cargo containers (one on each side of the trailer), one of them is for an oxygen tank but the other one is empty. The trailer also has two equipment holders for an oxygen mask and a fire extinguisher. The trailer also has a fire hose and another opening and closing tailgate. This set also comes with an equipment platform that has a spotlight with controls for it, and two equipment holders for an ax and a chainsaw. The equipment platform can also be placed in the pickup-truck or the trailer. Well, here are the basics of the set:

The front of it is probably the coolest part, if you take it off and give it to someone they'll know it belongs on a fire truck. It has two firemen, fire tools, a shiny silver helmet (Only available in this set) and it is very durable. There are lots of very useful parts on this fire truck too so if you ever decide to take it apart, you'll have lots of cool new parts.

(More customer reviews)My boys LOVE legos, so we gave this to their cousin for his 5 y.o. birthday. He received a couple of different ones but loved this one the best -- so much so that he even slept with it the night he put it together! It's always a great skill builder for the boys to have to follow the directions to put it together. The fire truck is also a hit with the boys too -- would go great together with the helicopter. Great Price, Great Toy.

But the reason I'm writing this review is to warn people that Amazon likes to ship these types of items in small bubble envelopes. Needless to say, when I received my product, the LEGO box was completely smashed. Hopefully they'll get their act together and start using proper boxes. Until then, beware.
